In a last and colourful wrestling match, featured by flying tackles and headlocks, Count Varga and A 1 Pereira finished up with honours even. Varga gave the more scientific display, but lound the powerful and impetuous Pereira a tough opponent. Pereira secured the first fall early in the fifth round with a top body press, which tollowed a series of smashing flying tackles. There was action in plenty till Varga evened up in the last session, when he pinned Pereira with a body press after he had badly rattled him with headlocks;. Mamos secured submission falls in the third and sixth rounds. Mtmios was superior throughout, but the wrestling was oi good quality. A WAIKATO PROTEST. 'JMtSSa HAMILTON. July 26'. The inability of the Waikato Wrestling Association to stage bouts on the scheduled dates was discussed at a meeting of the executive of the association night. It was decided to suspend operations for the rest of the year as a protest againat the treatment received at the hands of the Dominion Wrestling Union and professional wrestlers.
