A joint case on behalf of the Now Zealand manufacturers of women 1 * outer wear was presented to the Tariff Commission to-day. The commission this afternoon heard requests for the abolition of the pm ent duty of 20 per cent on earthenware from the United dom, the free admission at reeuMb* necessary in the Catholic QiinA for use by Catholics generally, and a reduction of the general tariff from S per cent to 20 per cent on rmrltilßf used for laboratory work.
