PRINCE OF WALES AS LANDLORD.
♦ MODEL WORKERS' FLATS. BUILDINGS ON KENNINGTON ESTATE. (bbitish orriciAt. wifeless.) (Received July 12, 8.15 RUGBY, July 11. The Prince of Wales this afternoon opened two blocks of London's most up-to-date workers' flats, erected on waste ground on his own Duchy of Cornwall estate at Kennington. The buildings, which are regarded as models of their kind, are in the form of a square with balconies round e 3Ch floor, and gardens in the centre. The design, adopted at the special instance of the Prince, includes tiled fireplaces, hot water in the bathrpomg, and washable walls. Three-rqom flats will be rented at 15s a week and large flats at £l. The buildings will house 92 families. The front of each will be floodlit at night.
