MR ULM'S FLIGHT.
♦- ARRIVAL IN ENGLAND. ATLANTIC CROSSING NEXT. LONDON, July 10. C. T. P. Ulm, in the aeroplane Faith in Australia, has arrived at Heston. Mr Ulm described his flight as generally uneventful, except for fierce sandstorms between Karachi and Jask, and also between Bagdad and Aleppo, Mr Ulm confirmed the report that he would attempt to fly the Atlantic, but was unlikely to start for some days, probably from Ireland or Wales! He says:— "I have no intention of racing Mr and Mrs Mollison or anyone across the ocean, but it is conceivable that I will leave about the same time if we are ready and the weather is suitable." [Mr Ulm. with Mr G. U. Allan and Captain P. G. Taylor, set out from Derby on June 22 to try to break the air record from Australia to England. He was ahead of time till he was forced down by a sandstorm near the Persian Gulf, and slightly damaged the aeroplane. After that his progress was slow.]
