The following is a list of passengers who have left New Zealand to join the Aberdeen and Commonwealth liner Jervis Bay, which was to leave Sydney on Saturday last for London, via Suez:—From Auckland: Miss E. Stringer, Mr Francis Watt. THE FISHING INDUSTRY. TRAWLER TO RECOMMISSION. One of the two steam trawlers at present laid up at Lyttelton, the Phyllis, is to recommission at the end of this week and will commence trawling operations again. The Phyllis, together with the other steam trawler, Muriel, was laid up more than 12 months ago, and the two vessels have been idle since. Yesterday the Phyllis was docked for overhaul. She was formerly the whalechaser Star 111. POTATOES FOR SOUTH AMERICA. * The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer. Otira, now loading at Lyttelton, is taking 1000 tons of potatoes from Timaru and Lyttelton for Montevideo. The Otira loaded at Timaru last week and yesterday commenced to load the remainder of the consignment. She will complete to-day and is to leave Lyttelton for Wellington this afternoon. The Otira is to sail finally from Wellington to-morrow afternoon for Montevideo and London. THE TANKER NUCULA. The Admiralty oil tanker Nucula is to leave Auckland for Suva this morning to supply oil fuel to H.M.S. Dunedin, which is cruising in the Islands. From Suva the Nucula will proceed to San Pedro, to load another cargo of oil fuel for the New Zealand Naval Department PERSONAL. f Captain G. S. Hazlewood is in command of the C. and D. Line steamer Port Pirie, now loading at Timaru, which reached Bluff last Wednesday in ballast from Newcastle-on-Tyne, and his officers are:—Chief, Mr A. Naismith; second, Mr L. Skailes; third, Mr G. Stannard; fourth, Mr P. Beeham; chief engineer, Mr J. Barrett; second, Mr E. Phillips; third, Mr W. Verrall; fourth, Mr E. Jones; fifth. Mr Lumsden: chief refrigerating engineer, Mr F.
