j INTER-HOUSE SWIMMING. Another of the inter-house sporting events between College House and Rolleston House, the two residential departments of Canterbury College, was fought out to a vefy close conclusion yesterday. The occasion was the annual swimming relay, held at the Tepid Baths early in the morning, and for the first time in three years Holleston House won the event. Only two feet separated the competitors at the end of the race. The race was of 200 yards, each man swimming one length, and though Rolleston House v/as given a slight by Anderson, College House made th<s going more even over the later stages. The excitement of the spectators was intense when the two last men entered the water together, but the Rolleston House man, I. F. G. Milner, drew slowly ahead to secure a narrow victory. Teams were:—Rolleston House: A. T. Anderson, J. R. Mills, M. Heenan, H. Milner, C. E. Taylor, I. F. G. Milner. College House: R. S. Duncan, jR. M. Simmers, R. White, A. G. Bogle, W. Doherty, F. M. Hilgendorf.
