TRAP SHOOTING.
A YOUTHFUL CHAMPION. (PHESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) GISBORNE, April 10. The Poverty Bay-East Coast single rise clay bird championship was won at Tatapouri by Rex Oates, aged 13, from a field of experienced shooters. With two others he scored the possible of 18, and in the shoot-off he broke ■all five clays, beating the others handsomely. F. L. Joblin, who was runnerup in a single rise match, won the double rise title after shooting off three times; with H. F. Smythe, the runner-up.
