PRISONERS SENTENCED.
(PRESS AHSOCIATIOH JTELEGEAH ) WELLINGTON, April 10. Prisoners sentenced by the Chief Justice, the Rt. Hon. Sir Michael Myers, were:—Jack Harry" Payne, breaking and entering and theft, 22 charges, five years' imprisonment, and on each charge of robbery with violence seven years' imprisonment, the sentences to be concurrent, and declared an habitual criminal; Walter Anderson Clifton, two charges of indecent assault, 12 months' reformative detention on each charge, concurrent; Henry Ernest Ferguson Lee, forgery and uttering, two years' imprisonment; Thomas Warren, four charges of uttering counterfeit coins, one charge of making counterfeits, and a charge of making a mould, two years' probation; John Hale, committing mischief by window-breaking, 12 months' probation; Harold Alexander Brown, breaking and entering and theft, attempted breaking and entering with intent, and theft, three years' Borstal treatment; Charles Edward Thomas, two charges of breaking and entering and theft, two years' reformative detention; Gordon Kenneth Watson, attempted breaking and entering with intent, two years' probation; Bernard Joseph Molloy, breaking and entering and theft, two years* imprisonment; Harold Mercer, seven charges of breaking and entering and theft, and three of breaking and entering with intent, also committing mischief, two years' imprisonment, to be followed by three years' reformative detention; Brian William Hedgland, indecent assault, two years' imprisonment, to be followed by three years' reformative detention.
