AVONDALE CLUB. The bogey handicap played at the Avondale links on Saturday was won by a new member, E. A. Cleland, who on a 14 handicap came in 1 down. The following were the best cards returned: —

RUSSLEY CLUB. To enable Russley members to compete in the Islington cup at Shirley on Saturday, April 22, the Russley cleek competition will be postponed until Saturday, May 6. Entries for the Islington cup may still be made.

HANMER CLUB. The golf club played the final round c' the Lodge Cup tournament during the week-end, the winner being the holder of the cup, Mr L. Anderson. Kis aggregate v/as 5 up. K. Peek, 7 down. \ HAWARDEN CLUB. Opening day of the Hawarden Golf Club was held on Saturday, when play took the form of a mixed foursome flag match. There was a large attendance of players and friends. The match was won by Miss Blakely and J. L. Poole, who carried the flag to the 18th fairway. Mr M. F. Macfarlane welcomed the visitors and expressed the thanks of the club to Mrs Rutherford for the generous provision of afternoon tea. The prizes were presented by Mrs G. L. AMBERLEY CLUB. The opening of the Amberley Golf Club's season was held on Saturday afternoon. Declaring the season open, the president, Mr I. G. Grierson, stated that it was evident that the season was going to be successful. A mixed foursome was played trophies for which were presented by Mrs E. A. Payne. The winners were Miss Cameron and Miss E. Thompson. Members and visitors were the guests of Mr and Mrs Grierson at afternoon tea. HAWARDEN LADIES' CLUB.
