Yesterday the yachting visitors were entertained at a yacht picnic at llipa Island, .i free-for-all sailing race attracted a large entry. The annual picnic of the Lyttelton railway staff was held yesterday at Amttorlev. The attendance was about 500. Trip on the Dredge. The Mayor (Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.) and representatives of several public bodies were the guests of the Lyttelton Harbour Board on the dredge Canterbury on Saturday for the Sanders Cup races.
