OFFICIAL REPORT. The Christchurch Woolbrokers' Association reports as follows on Wednesday's sale: — The first wool sale of the season was held in the Caledonian Hall on Wednesday, 14th instant, when 25,000 bales were submitted to a full bench of buyers. There was a good selection of line quality wools, most of which were sound and well grown. The condition, however, was heavier than usual for this time of the year, and there was an unusual scarcity of really showy lots. Competition was keen and well sustained, especially from the Continental section. Local mills were particularlyattracted by line quality super lots. At the wool sales 10.732 bales were offered, 10,128 were sold, and 1327 were disposed of privately. At the final auctions to-day the market closed firm with prices at the best point of the series. WELLINGTON, December 15. Exports from New Zealand during November were valued at £2,607,217 (compared with £2*,810,270 in November, 1931). Imports were valued at £2,045,296 (compared with £2,059,040). Exports from New Zealand for the eleven months ended November, 1932, were valued at £33,695,047 (compared with' £31,814,844 for the corresponding period last year). Imports were valued at £20,958,527 (compared with £23,019,300). The values shown for exports are the declared f.o.b. values in terms of New Zealand currency, while the imports are valued on the basis of values in exporting countries plus 10 per cent.
