FOUND DEAD.
SECRETARY OF MANAWATU RACING CLUB. (IUIES.S ASSOCIATION TlLB'jaAU.) PALMEBSTON N., December 14. A tragic discovery was mado on the Awapuni racecourse this morning when the body of Victor Thomas Dibble, an accountant and secretary of the ManaAvatu Kacing Club, was found in some trees near the main stand, the cause of death being a shot from a revolver that was fully loaded with the exception of two shells that had been fired. Mr Dibble had been secretary to the racing club since the death of Mr J. M. Johnston two years ago, having come from Auckland, Avhere he Avas assistant secretary to the Bacing Club. While he \vus in Pahncrston North he was very popular. He had been connected with the Citizens' Show Committee, ilie Botary Club,, and tho local branch of the Red Cross Society. He liad been in ill-health for some time past.
