H'itKSS ASSOCIATION* TKLfiiiiUa ' AfASTERTON, December Upon entering Yates's grocery store nt Eketahuna to-uight at about 8.35 o'clock the manager, Charles William McLauchlan, was struck a heavy blow on the head by an intruder .who was in the premises and rendered unconscious. The intruder made his escape and is reported to have sped uway in a motor-cur waiting outside tho shop. McLauchlan was attended by Dr. •Simmers and removed to his home. His injuries are not serious. N<> stock was taken.
