REGENT THEATRE.
« SENTIMENTAL BLOKE." "The .Sentimental Bloke." Australia's first real effort to enter wholeheartedly into the kinema realm, will have its first Christchurch screening at the Regent Theatre on Saturday, and it can be termed an admirable initial effort. The picture has a distinctive atmosphere. It is redolent of the sunsliino and the bright characteristics of Australian life. It effervesces with humour, and the slang is a refreshing change from that in American dialogue. The philosophies of C. J. Dennis, almost characterised by wit, but sometimes by pathos, arc exceptionally- well emphasised in "The Sentimental Bloke. 1 ' "Six Hours to Tjive is at present showing at the Regent Theatre.
