As a protest against the everlasting increase in the tax on beer the Belgian breweries closed yesterday, the employees participating in a procession in which 40,000 marched through the .streets, accompanied by 70 bands, and banners blazoned with demands fo.cheaper beer. Special trains and motor-coaches brought in the country participants.
