HIGH PEAKS CLIMBED.
ASCENTS FROM FRANZ JOSEF. (SPECIAL TO THE WIKS3.) VTA IHO GORGE, November 20. The first climb of the season from the Franz Josef Hostel was accomplished on Tuesday by Mr Good.fellow, of the English Alpine Club, with Guide J. Cox, when the Minarets and lie r.a both over .10,000 feet, wore climbed. TI'C ascent was made from the Miner ilut. leather and snow conditions wore perfect, and splendid views wero obtained. The party had a wonderful pki run back from Graham Saddle +ri the hut after finishing their climb. On the saino day Miss Thenmin, of TJunedin. with Guide Pel:,,- Graham, ascended Mount i'rummond and bt. Mildred prak?.
