RED CROSS SOCIETY.
LITTLE AKALOA BRANCH. At a meeting held at Little Akaloa Sister Christian spoke - on the work of the Red Cross Society. It was decided to form a sub-branch of the societv. The following officers were elected:—President, Mrs Britton; secretary, Mrs Willcocks; treasurer, Mrs Murphy; with a general committee of six, with power to add. COMING-OF-AGE PARTY: A party to celebrate the coming-ol-age of Miss Emma Davey, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. H. Davey, was held at her home in North Brighton. An enjoyable time was passed with • games and competitions, the latter being won by Misses B. Lattimore, L. Boyce (2), E. Scott, Messrs A. Robinson (2), J. Reilly, and G. Donohue. The guest of honour was presented with the customary gold key by her mother. Mr V. Dixon was M.C. Those present included Mesdames W. H. Davey, M. Lattimore, O'Neill, and F. E. Smith, Misses Florence Davey, lima Davey, Lily Boyce, Gwen Brown, Jean O'Neill, Jessie Lattimorej Belle Lattimore, Ella Scott, Catherine Muffit, Ivy Smith, Messrs A. Robinson, J. Reilly. G. Mather, G. Donohue, H. Brown, R. Mills, V. Dixon, J. Lattimore, P. Lattimore. J. Burke, L. Andrews, J. Pentioost, S. Penticost, C. Kennedy, and F. E. Smith.
