Y.M.C.A. CONTEST.

CHRISTCHURCH LEADING. The contest between the visiting Timaru Y.M.C.A. secondary schools' team and Christchurcli was continued yesterday, when the tenequoit, indoor athletics, swimmirrg, and Rugby competitions were decided. With the basketball and out-door athletics to be decided to-day, Christchurch are leading by 19 points to 17. Tho tenequoit event was won by Timaru by 124 points to 64, but Christchurch won all four events in the swimming. Christchurch were also successful in tho indoor athletics, ■ winning the r>otato race, the hop, step and jump," and the standing long jump, tho high jump resulting' in a tie. In the Rugby, however, Tnnaru scored a decisive victory by 32 points to 8. Points for the events decided so far are;— Christchurch. Timaru.
