♦ % (UKITED MESS ASSOCIATION— BY ELBCTBtC TBLEORAPH—GOPtEIQHT.) (Keceived August 28th, 11.30 p.m.) v PKAGUE, August 27. An interesting revelation is made regarding the migration of swallows. In September last year, overcome by gales and torrential rains during their night southward, 50,000 swallows were collected in Vienna and in surrounding villages, placed in boxes, and carried by aeroplanes to Venice, where they were released in sunshine. Many of the birds were ringed for identification. They are now back in their old haunts, occupying their former nests..
