REJECTION OF AMENDMENTS. (UNITED PBZSS ASSOCIATION—BY ELSCTBIC TELEGKAI'H—COPYBIGHT.) "(Received August 11th, 7 p.m.) DUBLIN, August 11. . The Senate sat specially to consider the Dail's rejection of its amendments to the Control of the Manufactures Bill. The Government was defeated by 24 votes to 17 on a motion that the Senate does not insist on its amendments, this meaning that if the Dan disagrees the Bill will automatically be delayed for eighteen months.
