How appropr ate and encouraging it would hav been after bis Excellency's tribute t the memory of the discoverer of Me' Zealand, if wo had all joined in sing ing a song of.--New Zealand. I though of the enclosed words which Miss Jessi Mackay wrote for the festival for th encouragement of New Zealand musi in 1918. On that occasion the son was sung by 200 scholars from th Christchurch Girls' High School.Yours, etc., NEW ZEALANDER. August 10th, 1932. The copy of Miss Mackay's verse enclosed reads as follows: LAND OF OUR LOVE.
