DRAMA SOCIETY.
END OP TERM NIGHT. The Canterbury College Drama Society ended its term successfully last evening byproducing Jive one-act plays in the Little Theatre. There was a large and s,ppreciative audience. John Drinkwater's famous classical' tragedy "X=o, a Night 4>f: the Trojan War/' was the first on the programme, and a dimcult play •ras well handled by the following members of the society—Pronax and Salvius, C. J. Wheeler and G. A. Worthington; two Trojans, R. M. Young and 3. M. Soobie; Greek sentinel,. M. Sutherland; Greek servant, F. Simpson. Mx G. A. Writhington produced the play. "A Matter of Husbands," an entertaining comedy, was produced by Miss Valerie Tenr.ent who, with Miss Dorothy Magihness, formed the small cast. "Legend,", the prize play by Philip Johnson, was produced by 'Mw O. E. Beeby, the following players taking part:—Mrs Beeby, Mrs "Walters, Miss Maginness, G. A. Worthington, and E. M. Young. In "Para in PimHco," a fantasy by Helen Simpson, Misses Molly and Bettie Wilson scored a triumph. Mr Worthington (pioducer) and Miss Grace' Burns, also took part. The final play was "Suppressed Desires," a clever skit on psycho-analysis by Susan, Glaspell, which gave Mrs Beeby, Miss Torment, and J. A. Young good opportunity to display their talents. Miss Tennent was tho producer. " ' . ■
