FIRE IN HOTEL BEDROOM.
An alarm of fire in the United Service Hotel at about 9 a.m. yesterday brought three Fire Brigade engines to Cathedral square The outbreak was confined to the burning of several sheets and blankets which had been thrown over a heater in a bedroom on the top floor. A guest in the hotel saw the smoke and broke an alarm glass in the corridor, but the fire was extinfjnished before the Brigade arrived.
