THEATRE ROYAL.
"BLUE ROSES" . SEASON. BEGINNING ON THURSDAY. The two famous musical comedy artists, Madge Elliott and Cyril Ritchard, will make their reappearanco at the Theatre Royal on Thursday night in the big London musical comedy triumph, "Blue Roses." They will bring with them a breath of great theatrical enterprises, a touch oi ovcrsoas gaiety, giving a brand new show, with brand new songs, dresses, dances and new and original comedy. " 'Blue Roses,' " wrote a Sydney critic, "i* a great show." There are numerous delightful musical numbers in "Blue Roses," and some charming melodies, the kind one carries away and hums the following day. That there is an abundance oi comedy may be gathered by the fact that the cast includes those two excellent comedians, Cecil Kellaway and Leo Franklin, both of whom have parts which, it. i« said, may have been specially created for them. The dashing little Boubrette, Miss Dulcio Davenport, is also a member of the company, which includes a well-trained ballet and a full operatio chorus. Even the oicbestral work will be a feature, as it includes a number of expert saxophone players. The production is staged under the direction of M» .Frederick Blackmail.
The box plans for "Blue Roses" are now open at The- Bristol Piano Company, where seats in central positions'for the opening and subsequent performances may be selected Great, interest is also being taken by playgoers over the second production to be staged, "Follow Through," a musical comedy written around tivo~champion lady golfers.
