The lady parishioners of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Phillipstown, spent a very enjoyable afternoon art the Essex Home to honour Mrs Fraer, who recently left the parish. Musical items were given by Miss Bema Fraer and by Mr J. Armitage. Miss Pike, who acted as hostess, referred to Mrs Fraer's many activities in the parish, and to her countless deeds of kindness during the 15 years she had been there. She said no one but herself could know of the wonderful help and inspiration both Mr and Mrs -Fraer had been to her and hor social work in the home, as well as to the whole parish in general. Miss Spence also spoke warmly of Mrs Fraer's work in Phillipstown, and on behalf of all the parishioners asked her to accept a china tea-set and electric hot-water jug as a small token of the esteem and warm wishes of her Phillipstown friends. Mrs Fraer feelingly responded, assuring those present that though she had moved to another part of the town, she had not "left" the Church of the Good Shepherd, Phillipstown; she still hoped to join the parishioners in the services each Sunday. Musical honours to Mrs Fraer brought the happy little gathering to a close. "500" PARTY.
