A ueiv newspaper, tho Bristol "Evening Post," has made its appearance, and will give employment to 200 men, who were thrown out of work by recent amalgamations in Bristol. Before tho journal was publisliod for the first time, and during a short interval in the work', of the day, the Bishop ot' Malmsbury dedicated tho offices. Mr 11. W. Hav,•'Jiiis (director aud general manager) explained that the assembled staff all felt so deeply grateful for what had been made possible that they welcomed the opportunity of standing together while the Bishop expressed what they had it in their hearts to say. He had recently dedicated an institution where people might take refuge from the cares and worries of life, and ho had dedicated a solicitor's office, but it was the first time he had entered a newspaper office for such a purpose. In a dedication prayer he asked "That we may be able to do something to give men gaiety, freedom, and simplicity, and make a tired worll young again, clean laughter, good sportsmanship, courtesy, and real fellowship, something to inspire science, art, and letters." lie prayed for sincerity and truth, freedom" from prejudice and partisanship, courage, and confidence.
