Lord Snowden (Lord Privy Seal), speaking yesterday, said: The economic crisis is slow to pass, but "that it will pass I have no doubt whatever. Referring to the saving habit he said in the first four months of this year the weekly average of savings certificates sold was 40 per cent, higher than in 1928. The grand total of savings certificates sold to April 30th last was 1,089,000,000, representing a cash investment of about £857,000,000.
