EMPIRE DAY.
Empire Day, Tuesday. May 24th. will be celebrated again this year by the various Empire Societies in Canterbury, viz., the Victoria and Overseas Leagues, Navy League, Royal Empire Society, Empire League, and British (U.K.) Manufacturers' . Association. The celebration \vill take the form of a reunion of tira societies named, and the principal speaker will be General A. \V. Andrew, C.M.G., whose subject will be "The Empire and Commerce.'' Attention ,is drawn to an advertisement in this issue.
