♦ ATTACK BY SOVIET CAVALRY. SABRES AND MACHINE-GUNS. (UCTTED I'BESS ASSOCIATION— Bl BLECTBIO TELEGBAPH—COPTBIGHT.) (Received May 10th, 7.30 p.m.) VIENNA, May 9. While kneeling and chanting psalms on the banks of the Dneister, 100 villagers at Nubasari were massacred by a squadron of Soviet cavalry. Eye-witnesses on tho Rumanian shore saw the peasants slashed with sabres, and fired upon with machine-guns till the banks of the river were strewn with the dead and dying.
