HOUSE OP REPRESENTATIVES. (PRTEBS ASSOCIATION TELXGIUM.) May 10. The Finance Bill was read a third time and passed and the House of Representatives rose at 8.30 a.m. until 2.30 p.m. Replying to Mr R. A. Wright (C, Wellington Suburbs), when the House resumed, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes said it was hoped that an opportunity would be afforded at the Ottawa Conference to discuss the question of subsidised American steamships, which were' competing in the inter-colonial trade. Amendments to the National Expenditure Adjustment Bill were introduced by Governor-General's Message and adopted. , When the House resumed at 7.80 p.m. Mr Speaker announced that the Royal Assent had been given to the session's legislation, and the emergency session ended at 8 p'jta. with the singing of the National Anthem.
