ADULT EDUCATION.
PUBLIC LECTURES ARRANGED. Beginning on Saturday, April 9th, and continuing on alternate Saturday evenings thereafter till August 27th, n series of public lectures, arranged by the Workers' Educational Association, will be given in the , Association's rooms at the Trades Hall. The opening lecture will be "The Schools in Soviet Russia," by Mr L. F. de Berry. A gramophone concert by Mr C. JL. Hewlett will be given next. On May 7th, Mr W. A. Kenpedy will give a lantern lecture, "Nelson to Lake Wanaku"; the next lecture will be given by Mr H. Shurrock, of the School of Art; the next by Professor Sinclaire; the next by Mr J. ij. Strachan on "The Clash of Interests in the East"; Mr W. W. Rowntree, on July 2nd, will give a lecture on "Open Air Schools in Britain." which will be illustrated with lantern slides; "Stories and Music of the Operas," by Mr W. H. Dixon, which also will be illustrated, will be the next lecture; 'Mr E. Hitchcock will give the next lecture, entitled "Electrical Developments Overseas"; Mr R. Nairn will then lecture on "The Early History of Horticulture," and the series will conclude with a lecture on "The Passing of Democracy," by. the Rev. I. Sarginson. . ,
