t f - ♦ ■ NEW CLUB FORMED. The first general meeting of members of the Waimairi Beach Golf Club, Beach road, was held on Tuesday evening, Mr A. R. Blank presiding over a good attendance. The following officers were elected for the coming season:— • President, Mr. A. R. Blank; vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. Dolph, F. W. Freeman, and H. McDonald; committee, Messrs Alexander, A. Florance, .T, • McMillan, S. Papprill, T. Pappri.U, and A. Wilson; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr C. McConnell. s The annual subscription was fixed at £1 Is, entrance fee being membership of the Waimairi Beach Life-Saving Club (5s per annum) ; It was reported that the course would be open for play early in April, when an open day would be held to celebrate the occasion. It was .decided to ask the New Brighton Council to extend the bus route from Berry street to the links. The appointment of men and women club captains was left in the hands of the Committee. The provisional rules were adopted. Green fees were fixed at Is 6d per round, or 2s 6d per day. HAGLEY LADIES' CLUB.' A bogey match, the first match of tha season, will be-played on April sth, players to arrange their own opponents. " The official opening of the club will be on Saturday, April 2nd, when mixed foursomes for the opening day cup will be held. CHRISTCHURCH LADIES' CLUB. The Christchurch Ladies' Golf Club held its opening day at Shirley yesterday. Mrs Lawrence kindly presented prizes for the flag match and for putting. Miss R. Macfarlane. the winner in the senior division, carried the flag to the seventeenth hole, and also won the putting prize. Mrs O. H. Burns, the winner in the junior division, carried the flag to the eighteeqtlf hole. ■*
