YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS. There was a moderate turnover on call yesterday, with the bulk of business on the morning ca . prices of some stocks dealt in showed a hardening. Miscellaneous. Unsupported sellers of Standard Insurance shares reduced their limits» to o9s 9d. South British Insurance shares were weaker with sellers at oOs. buyers 'it 495. N.Z. Refrigerating fully-paid shares hardened to 10s 3d buyers, 10s 7d sellers. New Zealand Breweries shares recovered some lost ground with business at 23s 4d, and further at 23s 2d, sellers at 23s 6d. Buyers of Staples moved up to 225, sellers at 23s 6d. Australian Glass were stronger on buyers' offers 30s 3d ; sellers at 325. British Tobaccos (cum dividend) were fractionally firmer with dealings at i7s and 26s lid, closing quotations 2bs »u buyers, 26s lid sellers. Mt. Lyells showed recovery with dealings at liJs 6d and 19s 7d, market closing 19s 4d buyers, 19s 8d sellers. New Zealand Farmers' Fertiliser shares were released at 12s, closing quotations Is on cither side. Golden Dawns were firm at 7s od, sellers staying in at that figure, buyers at 7s OJd King Solomons weakened to Is Id sellers, Is buyers.
