Handel's oratorio, tbe "Messiah," wili form the programme for the fourth concert of the season, which is a public concert, and is being given in aid. of the Maypr s Unemployment Distiess Fund, in the Civic Theatre on Tuesday, December 15th. ' . , The prices of admission have been fixed at a very low rate, so as to ensure a packed house, and enable the Society to hand over a substantial sum to. assist the Mayor fund. Apart from the fact that a number of people are desirous of hearing the "Messiah" at Christmas time, the object for which the concert is being given should avpeal to all who wish to assist the poor and deserving at this time of the year. The soloists chosen are: Soprano, Miss Gladys Brooks; contralto, Madame Ann Harper; tenqr. Mr Ernest Rogersbass. Rev. L. A. North; and a full chorus and tra will assist underthe direction of Mr W. K.
