CONFERENCE HELD.
RECOMMENDATION TO FORM COMMITTEE. At a conference of bodies connected with educationaj matters, held in the Education Board's rooms last night, it was recommended that there be constituted a standing committee on education,. consisting of representatives of educational governing bodies, teachers' associations, and other bodies interested in education in Canterbury, to watch the interests of education. The following bodies were represented at the meeting Canterbury Education Board, Canterbury College Board of Governors. School Committees' Association, Canterbury Agricultural College Board of Governors, Technical College Board of Governors; Canterbury branch ot the Educational Institute, Professorial Board of Canterbury College, the staffs of the Girls' High School, Avonside Girls' High School, Technical College, and Boys' High School.
