MEETING OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS. The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Y.M.C.A. was held last evening. Present:—Messrs F. H. Sandall (in the chair), K. G. Archer, J. I. Roydsf S. L. Partridge, S. W. Jameson H. W. Heslop, A. M. West, and A. J. McEldowney. Mr West was welcomed on his return after a trip abroad, and in reply he gave a short account of his visits to associations in England and America. Mr W. C. Mackay was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors. Arrangements were made to visit the boys' camp 011 January 16th, and a new set of camp rules was adopted. The general secretary stated that quite a number of community activities were being prepared for, and the residents and the Optimists were preparing to entertain poor children. The Optimists Club was hoping to cooperate with the Rotary Club in its appeal for Christmas cheer. In connexion with the summer camp, the enrolments pointed to a record camp. The Rotarians were visiting the camp on January 16th, and the club were sending 30 boys to the camp. The orchestra had been practising consistently for the concert. Approximately 30 young men would be going on the summer walking tour under the direction of Mr C. G. Pegg.
