TEST CRICKET.

EASY WIN FOR AUSTRALIA. INNINGS AND 163 RUNS. SOUTH AFRICA FOLLOWS ON. (UNITED IHKSS ASSOCIATION—Br ELECTBIC TELEGRAM— COFYHIGHT.) (Received December 3rd, 8.15 p.m.) BRISBANE, December S. The weather was cool and cloudy for the resumption of the Test match between Australia and South Africa. There was a good attendance. j Overnight rain made the wicket more dangerous than yesterday. Play was not resumed until 12.30. It was immediately seen that the position of South Africa was desperate. Bradman showed that his indisposition had been shaken off by throwing down Mitchell's wicket. Ironmonger tied the batsmen up and the side was soon out for 170. Morkel made three runs in 09 minutes. Woodfull forced the South Africans to follow on. The wicket was changeable but favoured the bowlers throughout. The South Africans were disposed to go for runs. Christy hit Ironmonger for sis and' Cameron treated Grimmett similarly. Taylor again batted attractively, hitting seven fours and batting for 83 minutes. Wall bowled with an excellent direction, but occasionally was bumping badly. He bowled 15.1 overs, including seven maidens. Ironmonger's figures for the match are 77 overs, 45 maidens, 86 runs, and nine wickets. The gate takings amounted to £3033.. South Africa, in their second innings, scored 117 rims.
