FIRES.
HOUSE DKSTROYKD. A house in Springston road, Rollestgn, which was to have been occupied shortly by Jkfr T. Annatt, and in which Mr, had stored a quantity of fiW®Hure, wsa destroyed by fire at S-pQtft 19;SP RtfP? Oli Tues4&y. The house, wmch was owned by Mr T. of Christchurch, was insured iji the Northern Office; but the furnitl?re) ft}l pf which was destroyed, was uncovered. POULTRY HOUSE DESTROYED. [THE ?SE&S Special Service.] AUCKLAND, December 3. Early this morning a fowlhouse, owned bv Mr j. C. Nesfield in Mt. Albert, caught alight, as a result of an which was heated by kerosene bursting and setting fire- to the straw which littered the floor. Fifty grown birds and 100 chickenß were burjyt to death, and four brooders were destroyed.
