.During, the ■holidays, further, improvements have.'been made' at the 'North -Brighton School grounds. The fence on the western side lias been reinstated and "the basketball ground lias been tar- j sealed. The school will reopen oh Tues- 1 day morning. Road Construction. North Beach residents are pleased to learn that the Now Brighton Borough Council has included in the work to be done under the No. 5 Scheme the formation of the fifteen chains of Pacific road which will connect up the already formed portion of this road and so make, it a through rpad from Marriott's road to the Esplanade. Bowhill Road. ■ Owing to the wot weather the. trench from which the iriun rails had been removed subsided very much in some places. This is now being filled up with ;spoil from the excavations .in . High .street. . , Palmer's Road. In consequence of the wet weather Palmer's road is again breaking up and developing pot-holes practically, from . end to end. : . ' . i Church Services.' The Sunday evening services, in the •Peace Memorial Hall" are'still'attracting, f good congregations. Last Sunday evening there was a record attendance. On ;Sunday evening the service - will be 'conilueted by the: Presbyterian Church.
