OBITUARY.
MR G. GRAY. The death occurred suddenly at Masterton this week of Mr George Gray, at the age of 61 years. Mr Gray, who had resided in Masterton for about 30 years, was well known throughout the district for his keen interest in bands, private theatricals and carnivals. Mr Gray was a member of the Masterton Municipal Band for many years, and as a brilliant cornet player took part in band contests throughout - New Zealand. .He was also an active member of the Masterton Amateur Theatrical Society, and was for many years the society's producer. MR G. B. ROBERTSON. A familiar figure in Hamilton, Mr George Buchanan Robertson, assistant • traffic inspector employed _by the Hamilton Borough Council, died this week aged 69 years. Ho was born in Melbourne, and for some years was employed as a printer. He joined the Salvation Army, and for 26 years served in various places, including South Dunedin, Rangiora, Roto Roa Island. Eltham Boys' Home, Aucklana and Russell. Mr Robertson retired from active work in the Salvation Army with the rank of commandant 11 vears ago, and went to Hamilton.
