Austro-Franco-German talks to adjust Customs Union differences to enablo Franco financially to assist Austria have broken down. It is a momentous issue, as Austria is on the verge of bankruptcy, and only France is able to help. Austria offers a qualified undertaking to abandon, the Zollvereln, but France demands its complete renunciation, on political grounds.
