TRESPASSING CHARGE.
INFORMATION DISMISSED. A clia.rge of trespass 011 iarm Uui.as bordering on Lake Ellesmere, which was a sequel to a shooting party on May Ist last, came to a conclusion in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, when Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., gave reserved judgment dismissing the lnrormation. The informant was H. Nutt, a farmer, of Ivaituna (Mr Hoy Twyneham), who charged William 0. Miller (Mr F. D. Sargent) with trespassing on his property, and with refusing to leave after he had been warned that he was trespassing. The case was heard on June lOtn last. . In giving judgment, the Magistrate agreed with the contention of Mr Sargent that the boundaries of Nutt s property had not been clearly denned. He held that Miller should not necessarily have known that he was within tlio boundaries, find as there was some ground for reasonable doubt. Millev must he given its benefit. I The case was therefore dismissed.
