CRIMINAL SESSIONS.
WELLINGTON. (mass tssocunon tclbskaii.) WELLINGTON, July 39. A plea, of guilty was entered in the Supreme Court' by Leslie John Withers, a taxi-driver, aged 22, on a charge of breaking and entering the shop of Frank Louden, at Miramar, and stealing cigarettes, tobacco, and other goods to the value of over £2O. He was remanded till Friday for sentence. In the • case of Valentine Charles Blake, aged 35, a butcher, who originally pleaded guilty to receiving postal packets containing postal notes and stamps forwarded from various parts of New Zealand to the organiser of the "Lucky Dog" Art "Union, the Crown Prosecutor accepted the plea and the theft charges were dropped. Blake was remanded till Friday for sentence. . PALMERSTON NORTH. (CJIXSS ASSOCIATION T»L£GSA.I£.) PALMERSTON N., July 29. In the Supreme Court to-day, John Albert Henry Schwass, a farmer, of Tokomaru, was found guilty on a charge of false pretences. Schwass was admitted to probation for two' years, conditional on his paying the costs of the action.
