CABARET DANCE. The members of the Canterbury Commercial Travellers' and Warehousemen's Association, with tlieir usual acumen and sound judgment, made a very wise choice when they selected the King's Birthday as the date 1 for their cabaret dance. Many holiday-makers, whether they had attended the Trotting Meeting at Addington, made the excursion to Otira, or played football or golf, felt that they would like a pleasant ending to an onjoyablo day, so they attended the cabaret at the Winter Garden,, and were not disappointed in thoir expectations; . '■ The dance was organised by a com? mittee, in; charge of Mr Gr It Christie, president of tho' Association, and Mr A. S. Mazey, s<?citetary; " . There was ati excellent attendance, including many visitors, to the City.. The Bailey-Marston Orchestra provided the dance music and a vegetable ballet, danced by Miss Dorothy White's pupils, with Miss Bonnie Saunders as soloist, was a most' entertaining item.
