SYDN EY HUN GER-STItIKEIUS. SYDNEY, December 5. The Communist hunger-strikers are now in a bad way. 'lhree are in hospital, one man being very weak. Gaol medical advices, however, are that forced feeding is not necessary yet. RATIONING OF WORK. SYDNEY, December 5. The Seamen's Union in Sydney has passed a resolution in favour of rationing. For instance, where a man has been in employment continuously on any vessel for, say, six months, he must stand aside for an unemployed member of the Union. A significant fact is that the meeting was attended overwhelmingly by idle seamen. The shipowners regard the resolution as a contravention of the award. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. LONDON. December 4. In the Association Cup first round re-plays Luton heat Orient, 4-2: Newport beat Dulv/ich. 4-1 ; Wellington beat Womb well. 3-0. Peterborough protested unsuccessfully against. Aldershot after ,Saturday's match, and Aldershot enters the second round. RESCUE BY WARSHIP. HONG-KONG. December 4. The crew of the Swedish vessel Hedvig. that struck a coral reef, have been taken off bv H.M.S. Suffolk, which is returning. The cruiser is not yet out of the danger area.
