Fat Sheep—The yarding was about equal to last week's and the quality was about on a par, except that there was a large proportion oi rather inferior quality ewes. I Several pens of ahoim sheep, both ewes and withers, were forward, and met with fair competition. The yarding of fat lambs was the largest that has been forward this season, end although the supply rather exceeded the demand prices were fairly firm at last week's rates. Practically the whole of the entry was disposed of at auction or privately. Extra prime wethers sold up to 29s Sd, medium from 23s 6d to 26s 6d, and lighter sorts down to 18s 6cL Shorn wethers sold up to 245, with medium-weights from 21s 6d to 22s Sd. Pnme young; ewes eold up to 26a 6d, medium from 18s Cd to 22s 6d, and lighter down to 13s 6d. Prime butchers' lambs eold up to 24s 6d, medium from 19s 6d to 21s 6d. and lighter down to 16s 6d. Store Cattle—There was a big yarding, comprising all sorts, the majority being of inferior breeding:. The sale, if anything, shewed an easing tendency, consequently a largo portion of the yarding was passed in.* Hereford steers realised £8 16s, while coloured cnes made £3. Two-year-olds of mixed breeding sold from £5 15s to £7. Good yearling steers made £4 18s, and good mixed sex yearlings £3 5s to £4, while poorly-bred and conditioned yearlings made 80s to £2 se. Fresh-conditioned empty cows realised £4 10s to JE3 9s, aged and inferior £2 to £3 lOs. and empty two-year-old heifers £4 15s to £5 ss.

Dairy Cows—The entry outside of a special lot was small. The special entry comprised about 30 cows, some being in or ju§t at profit, which were disposed of at prices varying from £C to £lO, with the average price at about £B. Fat Cattle—The yarding comprised a fair proportion of prime, well-finished beef and a large percentage of good steers, with a fair quota of heifere and a medium offering of fair cows. The Sale opened firm, and values were fairly consistent with week's rates. Anything of good quality realised up to recent values. Few vealers were forward, mostly of poor quality, but a fpuple of good runners sold well, one realising £B. Extra prime heavy bullocks made up to £l9 10s. medium from £l2 to £ll 10«, lighter £lO, prime heavy rows £l3 7s 6d., medium, £8 10s to £ll, lighter £5, prime heifers £ll 17s 6d. medium £9 to £ll, lighter £7 10s; vealers 10s to 40®, with runners up to £S.
