COMPETITION IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS. Several hundreds of entries were received for a competition in animal drawings organised by , the Junior league of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the primary and private schools of Christctnrch. The entries disclosed a high tfandard, those from the Phillipstown School, which won several of the prizes, being outstanding in general excellence. It -was noticed that boys were more successful than girls. The Wage was Mr C. Kelly, of the School of Art.
