CHRIST'S COLLEGE ADDITIONS. Although its construction was commenced by the contractors, Messrs P. Graham and Son, only last March, Jacob's House, the three-storey boarding house, in stone, which is being erected on the north side of the quadrangle at Christ's College, is already completed so far as walls and roof are Wacerned, and some of the plastering •afinished. It should bo ready for Mtipation in the first term nest year. Numerous types of stone, which give * variety of colour to the frontage, hie been utilised in construction, and tiu building, with its row of quaint dormer ■windows, harmonises well with other structures facing the quadrangle. All of the windows are in, plastering in the top storey is now finished, and furnishings are being moved in, sad the floors are in course of construction. The scaffolding has been removed fronr all parts of the exterior. . Novel, features of the interior are the concrete stairways, with beautifully turned balustrading and pillars in the same material, which will be left in their present condition, without any plaster or other finish. Work is in progress on the terrace of crazy paving, which will overlook Hsgley Park.
