The great Irish Free State sweepstake, in aid of hospitals, yvhieh is being drawn on Tuesday, is remarkable foi the enthusiasm which it has aroused. There are long queues outside the selling booths, while thousands of letters are pouring in. It is stated that the prize-money has Already reached the remarkable figure of £400,000. The first prize" i s expected to be £18.1,000, the second t«0,000 and the third £42,009. To-day 2,000,000 slips of the counterfoils of tickets sold were replaced under an armed police escort, to the Mansion House, ivhers the drawing takes, place in public.
