Upwards of 50 master butchprs began Killing their own sheep and cattle at t!:e abattoirs this mormiijj. Hundreds of strikers gained adimssipn to the building, and began to jeef at those employed. The police put them off the promises and remained on guard the whole day. It is that full supplies oi' meat of all clashes will be available in the metropolitan area by the middle of the week. Bepreseniatives of the employers and flu- Meat Emplo3 _ ees' Union had a conference to-day with the Minister for Labour, Mr J. J|. Bnddeley, also Air Justice Piddington, President of the Industrial Commission, in an attempt to settle the dispute.
